Design and Validation of functional foods Unit

 

This Unit supports the own foods products with specific health benefits developed inside the Institute, in order to promote their transfer and commercialization.  The Unit also provides services for external research centers and private companies.  The facilities services include design of production processes of foods as well as food ingredients, by using advanced technologies, chemical characterization of products and fractions coming from food, and finally study and validation of the health-benefits claims of the innovative new products.
